Lukas' second month, Thanksgiving and Dave's birthday

Wow, there are a lot of holidays in our family during the months of November and December. This blog is going to be long and full of pictures because of it. And it doesn't even cover Nicholas' birthday! I will have to post it separately, next.

I have a lot of random pictures from different events, holidays and just cute pictures. There isn't a particular story that connects all of them, but I like them all and simply had to include them in this entry :)

Lukas can be very funny when he sleeps.
Nicholas is watching his favorite blankie being washed... Poor kid :)
Just hanging out with my boys on an uneventful 11-11-11.

Alex is so in love with his littlest brother!
Despite cutting down some major branches earlier this year, we still had A LOT of leaves in our backyard. Hence, all the fun the older boys were having :)
These mini shrimp calzones were TO DIE for. In fact, I'm salivating right now just writing this. Guess what's for dinner tomorrow? :)
Lukas loves to sleep on his dad's chest.
Lukas gets to roll around the floor every morning and practice various skills.
Lukas has truly blue eyes right now! I'm so excited and I hope they stay that way!!!Well, Sandy is on Santa's naughty list this year; she has been secretly eating Nicholas' snacks until she's been caught in the act!
We spent Thanksgiving at the Sullengers' again this year. Turkey was great!
So were the salad and the cranberry sauce that we made. Mmmmm. Love Thanksgiving!!!
I got my leg; I mean turkey leg, of course :)
Babulya celebrated with us.
Kids had SO MUCH FUN this year!!! We got to see all kinds of performances from them :)

Some of them got really into it. Rock Stars!

Lukas watched and wished he could be running around with them. Next year!

Aunt Liz was the favorite.
Nicholas and Brennan are 3 months apart. They'll be best buddies one day.
Some wrestling took place. Of course, since boys now outnumber girls in the Gudgell family!(thanks to us :).
Dave, of course, was another favorite of the kids.
The evening ended with the boys falling asleep on the couch, back at home. I just adore them falling asleep together. I swear I grab my camera every time this happens :)
2 days later we celebrated Dave's (gasp) 35th birthday!!!
We had some close friends over for another turkey feast.
The dinner was delicious which is why everyone went crazy. Crazy happy that is.
I made an orange raspberry cake for Dave. So easy and SO delicious!

My boys are very silly sometimes.
And cute too!
With babulya.

Occasionally, the only way Nick will eat his lunch is if Elmo is singing to him on youtube...
I realized that I don't have very many pictures of just me and Luke, so we had a little photo shoot at home to correct that major oversight!

This boy has so much hair! I could almost braid it!

A week later we celebrated our belated Anniversary by going on a staycation to Grand America. Yes, we took kids with us, well at least some of them. Nick stayed home with babulya as having a 2-year-old can be occasionally challenging and we wanted to really relax.
We went to a very nice dinner at the hotel.

We had an arugula beet salad with orange segments and fennel dressing. Mmmm. SO GOOD!
I had striped bass as my entree. Beyond delicious!
Even Alex's food was served fancy and delicious.
We walked around the hotel, looked at many different decorated Christmas trees, and shopped at the new toy store. We then went swimming, which was very refreshing.
The next morning we woke up and went downstairs to search for clues in order to get free cookies at the French bakery.
Alex's was very successful at it!
Along the way, we saw a huge beautiful gingerbread house. Wow! Can you believe that thing??? Made entirely of gingerbread cookies, sugar glass and candies. You could smell this house from far away. Just look at the size of it!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw anemones blooming outside! In the 20 F degree weather! How is it possible???
