Once I discovered his winter suit, I realized that it's already too small so he only wore it a few times before I had to retire it. Good thing I still have Alex's old winter suit since Luke is closer to Alex's "winter" age anyway. This is the best thing about having all kids of the same gender is that I can keep recycling all their clothes and sure enough I can find something that will fit :)

At the beginning of December we followed our tradition and decorated a gingerbread house, while Lukas was hanging out near by (see above).

In the background is my young fresh herb garden, which by now is huge and sure is being used daily! I love the smell of fresh herbs; it reminds me that summer is almost around the corner. It's also forcing us to eat even healthier, because I hate wasting food and since I have fresh herbs, I use them every day with every meal.
Lukas is learning to interact with dad.
On December 9th, we decorated our house for Christmas. Kids had a lot of fun with it.

Dave and I were mostly stressing out about hanging lights on the 11-foot tree that we got. Funny thing is it didn't look that big when we bought it :)
But it turned out so beautiful that all that extra work was totally worth it!
Our tree theme this year was blue-green-silver. Every year I try to do different combinations of colors on the tree.

Bessie gets very jealous when Babulya sits with Lukas :)

On December 11th (Lukas was 2.5 months old) I suddenly realized that he can hold his head on his stomach! I was so surprised that he was doing it so young! I guess I forgot at what age babies start to hold heads!
The same day I also finished Nicholas's stocking. It turned out so beautiful! I noticed that I get better and better with each one. Now it's time to start Lukas's stocking!
This is all of them. Sandy and Bessie didn't get their own stockings this year as we ran out of stocking holders...
On December 10th, we celebrated Nick's 2nd birthday. I made 3 desserts: lemon berry trifle, chocolate cake with mascarpone frosting, and honey yogurt lemon cake (Alex's favorite).

Nicholas was almost able to blow out his own candle; actually, he had no idea what to do, so I had to help him out :)

The desserts were all amazing. Guests liked the trifle the best. Babulya tried them all :)
Nicholas sure was happy :)
Alex was showing his dance moves.
Besides Dave's family, some of my close friends came to celebrate with us. It was nice to have friends there to support and celebrate with Nicholas.
Happy boy :)
He loved all of his presents; and most of all, he loved ripping the wrapping paper :)

As you can see, the cat follows Babulya like a tail. Sandy is not far behind.

When it's tummy time, the boys love to roll around the floor together with Lukas. Nicholas gets the most excited and yells "tummy time!!!" when I say it and put Lukas down.

Then they pile on top of papa; the usual evening at our house :)
Christmas morning. Ummm, what recession???
Santa not only ate the cookies and drank the milk, but also left Alex a nice handwritten note!!!
O my goodness, I'm so excited I captured Alex's first reaction to all the presents under the tree!!!
Stockings were full of nice little necessities and treats :)
Lukas didn't have much of a clue what's going on :)
But he looked cute wrapped as a present under the tree :)

Our boys are definitely the most precious presents under the tree :)

Everybody has lots of fun opening presents. My favorite part is watching the boys' excitement when they open the presents they really wanted.
Nicholas got his very own computer.
Alex was so happy to get iPod touch; totally unexpected for him :)
Even I got a new computer. Yea!!! My old one was getting very slow, and this gift was completely unexpected!!!
Lukas has the most beautiful blue eyes and very long eye lashes!

On Christmas day, we went to the Temple Square to see the lights.

It was very beautiful there and we had lots of fun.
Amazingly, it was a nice evening without the extreme cold, snow or wind.

I love this picture! Too bad that Lukas was asleep in the stroller so we couldn't get him in the picture with us.

The magic of Christmas could be felt at the Temple Square that night!
