We're so proud of Dave!

Just about 3 months ago Dave started running. He's been running a few times a week and on June 20th did his very first 5K run, which was held at the Memory Grove park. It was a beautiful saturday morning and we came to support him (early as it was). He finished with a respectable time for a first time runner.Alex was so proud of his daddy and wanted to run too :)
His friend Randall participated in this race as well.
After the race they had a very nice, healthy breakfast.
Dave even won some cool prizes (stuff he actually needed) and Alex got a balloon hat from a "Santa Claus" :)
A month later, on July 24 Dave participated in his 2nd 5K run.
We had to wake up at 5am to be there on time so I'm not even sure whether Alex and I are awake in this photo.
The turn-out for this race was huge!
And they began... Emily (our niece) ran this one with Dave.
Dave seems really happy to be finishing the race (he's a few yards from the finish line).
Emily also did great in it, not too far behind Dave!

I think Alex got the running bug as he really wanted to participate in kids K but we didn't make it there on time... Next time, Alex!
